They just had 50 percent off on all pool and water toy, they had a water blow up with slide, pool and climbing wall, 2 days ago it was 299.00 @ 25 percent off and today it was 419.00 @ 50 percent off and they had a blow up kayak @***.00 sitting in the middle of the pools with 50 percent off and the cashier seen it in my buggy and said that isn't on sale, I said why do you have it sitting with all that stuff then, her response was I should know better, how would I know its a water flotation item

Wrong Furniture Complaint

I bought a couch the falston set from my big lots. They told me to come back with the truck to pick it up.

I got the U-Haul truck, went back to the store, when I got inside they told me I had to go to the back of the store where the trailers are and someone will meet me out there so I said ok no problem. Two people came outside to open up the trailers and and take the couch out and loaded them onto the truck for me. When I got home and unloaded the couch into the house I took off the packaging and saw that they gave me the wrong couch. They gave me two of the Chaise sets of the Falston couch set.

I called the store and they told me I would have to bring it back. So I had to get back to the truck and then get help to load the couch back onto the truck to take it back just for them to meet me back at the trailers and I had them to take it off the truck because I didnt want to be responsible if it got damaged since it was now unwrapped. They opened the trailer and right inside was the correct couch that had my receipt for pick up attached to it.

Apparently they didnt scan or check the couch when they gave it to me the first time. That was just an inconvenience as I was in the process of moving.

Coupons never work

I shop at Big Lots multiple times a week. The $5 coupons on $15 purchase always prompt as expired though the dates clearly show they're not. It's frustrating that the employee seems to think I'm the problem when the coupons rarely scan, though not expired.

Yes, I had a warranty on a couch and they only gave me an 80% refund. I was told this be resolved in a week it’s been 5. It’s been escalated and still have not gotten my remaining 178$ of my refund!

I had to return my first sectional due to the fabric stitching coming apart. I wanted the same sectional but was told the seller sold junk, so I got a new one.

It did the same thing. I was given a 100% refund on the first couch, but only an 80% refund on the second. I had warranties on both sets and got a full refund with the first sectional, so I should have with the second one. However, I've waited five weeks on an escalated claim to get my money back!

The manager didn't give me my receipt back. Thankfully, it shows up on my Big O Lots Rewards!

Where's my $178? Because even Allstate, which carries the last two-year warranty on the furniture, said Big O Lots should have given me a 100% refund!

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They credited the erroneous charges back to my account. No offer to show that they were sorry for the mistake they made and the inconvenience it caused, or that they appreciated my business so I will no longer do business will them.

I was on their website and attempted to place an order. When I hit submit, it gave me an error message that they cannot accept my payment type to please add another payment method.

So I backed out of website and found out the next day that they not only charged me for the order but they charged me 3 different times (3X) for the order that I never got to successfully place. When I contacted BigLots, they saw that order did not go through and was never submitted but they charged me 3 times anyway. Customer service tried to say sorry but that didn't help me. I was using a Vanilla Visa.

Apparently Big lots does not want to accept vanilla visa. They tried to lie to me and say it was the bank for the card but the card issuer confirmed that BigLots are the ones who refused my payment method otherwise it would not show as pending on my card. Now I have to wait until DEC 14 before I can have that money credited back to me to order for Christmas.

Consumers need to never order from BigLots if you are using Vanilla Visa. They will refuse your card payment but still charge you several times for an order that you never successfully submit.

I'm not scamming anything. I shop there all the time and am a rewards member or at least I was. I will never shop at or order from this company again. I can afford anything in that store and if you were a decent person you would not be siding with someone who charges a customer 3 times for an order that was never successfully submitted and if Big lots was a decent company, they would own their mistake and give me a gift card to show that they appreciated my business and that they were really sorry for the error they made.

You can just shut up because you have no idea what you are commenting on. I'm not scamming anyone.

They know they made a mistake they acknowledged it. So I ask ignorant people to make more intelligent responses to my comments please.

False advertisement

I was on DoorDash found outdoor cushions on sale 90% off which brought them down to two dollars apiece a door dasher drove all the way there and was told they were $20 apiece that they werent on sale at all. DoorDash called me and said do you still want them?

Of course, I said no, I called the store. The woman was rude. I was told she was the manager. She said there was no way she would sell those at that price when I tried to speak more she hung up.

I called back and asked for district office phone number she put me on hold and never came back , I do not find this acceptable. It is not my fault that they put it on the ad wrong.

It seems like you are mistaking NO for RUDE, and in this case, by your own standards, you were rude to the DoorDash driver because you also said NO.

What did your total say? Did it show 90% off?

I looked online and there is an instagram scam and a YouTube scam video about 90% off.

There are also fake coupons sites, worthepenny and coupon bird showing fake 90% offers. It sounds like a scam using a fake site to get your bank info.

With his attitude, he deserved to be scammed. Then again he appears stupid. I mean anyone who is stupid enough to mistake NO for rude is stupid enough to fall for a scam.

I ordered what looked like an excellent clearance on big lots. The advertised and trusted site on the advertisement I thought was real.

I live below property level on disability Social Security. I was so excited. The phone was fake,then I reached out now knowing it's a scam.

I see this exact website on Google I was angered because this has caused my depression is really high. I don't know what to do, I need my money back.so broke and this is the regarding proof of purchase I don't know how to screen shot.

Cashier refused to take cash for purchase.

Cashier refused to take exact cash payment with Big Lots open next 15 minutes before closing. Stated would only take credit card or debit.

Stated I wanted to pay cash with exact change. Lost my business when other stores would take cash all to closing. Poor customer service.

What if 10 other cash only customers followed after me. Think it was problem with employees wanting to get out at 7 pm

Haven't received order

I'm not putting my credit card number in just to get an answer on my missing order. I stated I wanted a phone call as I don't do well with internet and it automatically put me to an internet page and it want my credit card for $1 charge.

How about no charge. How about just call me and discuss the problem like normal people-oriented

Harrassing management

sees how management treats employees and how they harrass them and customers alike. Long lines, no one there to help and freight all over the store.

Not able to get items you need due to pallets in the way.

Also see management accuse people of stealing and follows them around even if they are a paying customer. Knew lots of ex employees there that says never to work there.

BIG LOTS FALSE ADVERSTISEMENT OF IN STOCK PRODUCTS AND THEN THEIR HOLDING ONTO YOUR MONEY FOR A WEEK AFTER YOU CANCEL YOUR ORDER!

I placed an order with the local Big Lots in Centralia, IL online, out of pity for them, for pickup last night. They immediately charged my debit card $118.24, then sent me an email stating they had received my order but it was missing seven of the items in my original order, then they sent the pickup email, still missing the items, but trying to charge me the same price.

I then called the store manager Matt and told him and he made excuses and said there was nothing he could do that all of that was done at corporate and that they just send them a sheet of the items to pull. I told him I was not paying for seven items I did not receive and he said all he could do is cancel the order so I had him do so. Then I told him they already took the money from my account and I asked if they would immediately refund it and he said it would be in my account this morning as it was only pending and would fall off overnight. LIARS!!

It is still on there so I contacted their corporate office and they made the same excuse and said it can take up to five days to reverse and put the money back on my card. Why would they need to put the money back on my card if they had not TAKEN and CHARGED me for the order, they never gave me to begin with!! That is THEFT AND FRAUD!!! I then filed complaints online with the FTC, CFPB, IL Attorney General and I will be contacting the DOJ and my lawyer next if they do not put my money in the account immediately!!

I know exactly what they are doing, they are first trying to rip people off who do not keep track of the items they purchase, and then when that does not work, they are then keeping their money for up to a week to use it as an interest-free loan at the consumer's expense, to fund their business practices, place orders, or invest. I have two business degrees and have worked in law, the county, state, and federal government, and commercial and investment banking. They are not fooling me. These CROOKS and CLOWNS are getting ready to go under and they will take advantage of ANYONE that buys from them!!

No company should be allowed to be prepaid and put a hold on your bank account funds, some gas stations are even putting a $100 hold on a $20 purchase, instantly, yet they then hold onto it for a week or more claiming "It just takes that long to process the reversal" that is BS!!! I also went to school to be a systems analyst and they are LYING!!! Funny JC Pennys tried the same until I told them I had reported them to the FTC and my lawyer then it was in my account, before the next day!! I know they can reverse it immediately but why should they the public is stupid and allowing all of them to use their money as a free loan daily all over this country, millions are having this done to them, this is THEFT and FRAUD, it is no different than floating checks which is also illegal or us walking into their store and stealing a bunch of groceries and paying them a week later for them!!!

ALL need to report all of these instances to the FTC, CFPB, and your local AG and complain about all businesses and banks using our money and us this way, we cannot even survive as it is now, they are trying to use us as a bank to get free loans!!! Tell everyone you know to do the same until it is stopped nationwide and they are SUED, FINED, and SHUT DOWN!

Big Lots - Website false ads

Seen big lots had scooters saying they were $49.99. When you opened the ad.

The scooters were $99 bucks. False Advertisement. I looked at the website today and they took it down.

Big Lots are Snakes. Stay far away from the crap they sell.
