I purchased a Stratolounger Big One recline Last fall. It was but a month and it was falling apart.

The foot rest stays out all the time, it will not retract. I don't believe that Big Lots is the place to purchase furniture because they do not stand behind the products that they sell.

The company that made the Stratolounger went out of business years ago and there is no support for the Stratolounger band. Stray away for this brand!!!!

I could not find any IPB to see why it is broken or how it works. I called several companyies and looked on line for a fix but coild not find any info except complaint 's

Reason of review: Half of the above..

Monetary Loss: $399.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

We purchased this exact chair in August 2017 and had the same experience. And Big Lots did nothing to fix the issue.

We had our chair less than 3 months when we started having issues. A complete waste of money!!!

I haven't had any of these issues, however, the static electricity that builds from these chairs is enough to ruin electronics. It must be made with recycled plastics.

I get up from This chair and I have to touch my steel door to discharge my static electricity before I go to turn off the TV or computer or else it will make my electric devices malfunction and I fear that they will fry from the electricity coming out of my body. Thanks to this CHAIR!

Unfortunately, I did not read reviews BEFORE I bought the Stratolounger Samson Chocolate Big One Recliner at Big Lots. It has the same problem as some of the complaints going back three years!

The footrest does not latch when lowering it to get up from the chair.

Since I bought the chair on 6/3/17 and it is less than 30 days, I am returning this chair for a refund and researching before I buy again. Thanks to all who have posted.

I bought one a few years ago and it was a quality, strong, comfortable build. I went back and bought another in December of 2016 and this one definitely has a drop in quality.

It's rickety, loose, uncomfortable, and the staples and stitches come loose and let the stuffing fall out. It's too late to return it but I am very disappointed how their standards of quality have fallen so low, especially for a $400 chair.

I bought two Stratolounger about three months ago one of them is falling apart. You can feel the bare wood in the front, one arm will not stay up it just falls out and the seat has a wrinkle in the fabric that will not straighten out. I bought these from Big Lots but never again.

The Company HIDING behind the numerous names is

www.franklincorp.com

That's the company to contact. They many names & LLC's 2 protect this main company.

Aka stratolounger & USA Made.

As u saw, one name is out of business but it protected them, the $$ & mostly the main company. Hope this helps

After owning my Stratolounger two weeks, foot rest would not stay in, pin that holds the back in place sheared off, wood screws that hold the chair to the mechanism not screwed in properly, one wasn't even in the wood. I will be returning it tomorrow.

the company that makes stratolounger has not gone out of business. all the recliners have a one year limited warranty and there is also a 5year warranty on the recliner mechanisms. all you have to do is return the item to the store, make sure you have your proof of purchase and your recliner will be replaced if there is a manufacturers defect

if this is true I think they would have to give you a warranty in writeing.

If you did not purchase replacement insurance, then that maybe your downfall . I bought 900.00 Italian leather Chairs from living spaces and after 1 year they started peeling ! I had the warranty and they did not stand behind the chairs !
